Job Opening: Program Officer – Fund Development (Part-Time)

Location: Vientiane Capital

Reports To: Director

 

Organization: Gender Development Association, GDA, is a leading Gender Rights Non-Profit Association, working throughout Lao PDR since 1991. GDA works to empower women and men to achieve gender equity through joint action, knowledge sharing and ending gender based violence and discrimination. Our team is based in Vientiane Capital, and works in rural communities throughout Laos, as well as with our network of international partners.

 

Job Purpose: The Fund Development Officer will work closely with the Director and GDA team to strengthen the financial sustainability of the organization. This person will be responsible for all fundraising events, membership coordination and grant management. This role is part-time (15 hours/week)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Finance and Program Teams
  • Coordinates with Director /Program unit to develop long term Fund Development Strategy
  • Participates in project proposal writing and fund raising activities
  • Maintains Donor Mapping Tool
  • Responsible for Membership Coordination
  • Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of projects and donor compliancy
  • Prepare project reports as required by donors and Director
  • Attend meetings and events as required

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Degree in relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3 Years of Progressive Experience in similar role
  • Previous Experience in INGO or NPA
  • Commitment to the Mission and Mandate of GDA
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Proven Experience in Networking and Public Speaking
  • Strong Technical Skills, including Social Media, Microsoft and Donor Mapping Software
  • Fluent in English, written and oral – Required
