Job Purpose: The Finance Manager will work together with the Director and Program Staff to effectively and efficiently manage all financial matters of the organization. This includes, but is not limited to: payroll, taxes, budgeting, grant management, and reporting, as well as ensuring all staff and project implementation are in line with GDA financial policies and procedures. This role is Part-Time (20 Hours a Week)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall Management, Implementation and Control of GDA finances, under the supervision of the Director and Board
  • Ensure all GDA finances and financial reporting are in line with GDA policies and procedures
  • Ensure project activities are compliant with donor regulations and budgets
  • Maintain regular monitoring of GDA banking and external audits
  • Work with Program Staff to prepare budgets for grant applications and proposals
  • Provide regular reporting to Funders, Partners, Director and Board – as required
  • Set budgets for activities, fundraisers and events
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reconciliations

 

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional Certification in Financial Management
  • Minimum 3 Years of Progressive Experience in similar role
  • Experience in INGO or NPA
  • Demonstrated experience in fund development, auditing, and budgeting
  • Sound knowledge of current legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of grant management expectations
  • Advanced computer competency, including accounting software
  • Fluent in English, written and oral – Required

Job Purpose: The Fund Development Officer will work closely with the Director and GDA team to strengthen the financial sustainability of the organization. This person will be responsible for all fundraising events, membership coordination and grant management. This role is part-time (15 hours/week)

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to the Finance and Program Teams
  • Coordinates with Director /Program unit to develop long term Fund Development Strategy

Job Purpose: The Program Officer: Gender Advisor works closely with the Program Coordinator to facilitate CEDAW-Gender awareness and monitoring in Laos. This includes collaboration with the LWU, NCAW and Sub-CAW, research, training and M&E, as well as supporting the gender training program and consultant staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for gender program implementation and facilitation of trainings and workshops
  • Collaborate with Lao-NCAW, Sub-CAW and other government partners
  • Stay informed on the policies and guidelines related to gender in Laos, and provide updates to GDA members
  • Promote GDA as a center for exchanging information on CEDAW/Gender/laws
  • Recruit, train and support Gender Focal Points

Job Purpose: The Program Coordinator manages the effective and timely delivery of GDA’s programs and activities.  This will be done by using a project management approach; ongoing collaboration with donors, partners and stakeholders; supervising project staff and focusing on project outcomes and sustainability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Director to design, develop and execute GDAs programs and activities
  • Ensure project activities are aligned with the aims of the wider program; monitor and evaluate project activities
  • Collaborate with the Lao Women’s Union, Lao-NCAW, Sub-CAW and other government partners regarding the development of new projects and programs to respond to the needs of women and girls in Lao PDR
  • Support the Project Officers and Volunteer in Capacity Development

Job Purpose: The Communication and Campaigns officer will work to disseminate the mandate and message of GDA to the Laos Community. This person will be responsible for all of GDA’s publications, campaigning and promoting the projects of GDA. The incumbent will also be responsible for research, networking, documentation, all social media as well as monitoring and evaluation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the design, development and execution of innovative marketing campaigns

Job Title:                 Gender Development Director (1 position)

Location: Based in Vientiane

Key Tasks:             

  • To ensure effective overall management of GDA program (GDA own project and networking), including fund raising and report to donors.
  • To network for good cooperation between GDA and INGOs, Government mainly Lao Women Union and other organization both nationally and internationally.
  • To manage the diary activities of GDA’s staff,
  • To Prepare all coordination involving the overall goals, objective and the main activities for GDA according to the strategy plan , to ensure project implementation meet the goal including work planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation,

Qualification:

  • Diploma or Bachelor in Community Development, Administration, or in other relevant field;
  • Qualification in Project Management is preferred;
  • Experience of working with government officials, local communities and donors representatives;
  • Good computer literacy, communication and coordination skill, in multi-lateral context, in written and spoken English and local language;
  • Team-worker and able to motivate and work with multi-culture teams.

Position:     Project Coordinator  – Promoting gender equality through the rule of law and good governance

Location:   Mat District, Vientiane Province (Approximate 60%) and GDA Head office, Vientiane (Approximate 40%)

Status:        National Organization/Association Standard

Job Purpose: The Project Coordinator works closely with the GDA Program Support Manager  and Government Counterpart, to facilitate the participatory community development process using the local resource mobilization approach at the village level. This includes a work plan, supervision and implementation of activities especially of womens group activities in the target village.

Key Responsibilities

Management

  • To plan and implement work on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis in accordance with the program activity plan.
  • Coordination with Program Support Manager to develop strategy to ensure CEDAW, WAV and Gender training and campaign in Mat  will be achieved

Program activities

  • To collaborate/coordinate with the Vientiane Province Womens Union and District to form the project coordination and steering committee teams.
  • To be the lead contact for base line survey/data collection and management
  • Facilitate and organize gender and leadership training, and Violence against Women training for villagers.
  • To increase the opportunities for women to improve their leadership capacity, to promote women’s activities and advocate for policies change
  • Prepare monthly and 3 monthly budgets for implementation, monitoring of the activities in the target village and including budget reports to the GDA accountant every month.
  • In the case of an unexpected incident occurring during implementing the activities, project coordinator can report direct to GDA program support manager.
  • To participate in the GDA meetings, trainings and study tours.
  • To participate in the projects midterm and final evaluation.
  • Create documentation and disseminate an experience of project activities to GDA colleagues and member organizations.
  • Lead review planning and follow up the project every 3 month and yearly
  • Accompany visitors and donors on field trips

Reporting

  • Write activities report based on individual tasks to GDA program support manager not later than the 25th of each month.
  • Lead the project counterparts to combine the quarterly report and report to the project steering committee meeting.
