Gender Development Association (GDA) is a leading Gender Rights Non-Profit Association, working throughout Lao PDR since 1991. GDA works to empower women, gender diversity, and disabled people to achieve gender equity through joint action, knowledge sharing, and ending gender-based violence and discrimination.

Job Purpose

The Program Coordinator oversees the efficient and timely execution of GDA’s programs and activities. This involves employing a project management strategy, maintaining continuous collaboration with donors, partners, and stakeholders, supervising project staff, and prioritizing project outcomes and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the Director to design and implement GDA's programs and activities.
  • Ensures funded projects align with broader program goals and monitors their progress.
  • Provides technical and management support to GDA staff, focusing on work plans and project monitoring.
  • Partners with the Lao Women’s Union, Lao-NCAWMC, Sub-CAWMC, and government bodies to develop new initiatives for women and girls in Lao PDR.
  • Assist in GDA's Human Resource Development, performance reviews, and capacity building in Project Cycle Management.
  • Prepares required project reports for donors and the Director.
  • Attends meetings and events to enhance collaboration with network organizations.
  • Engages with the Line Ministries, INGOs, NPAs, and Development partners to expand networking and program implementation in line with the GDA Strategic Plan.
  • Supports GDA in organizational strengthening, fundraising, and service delivery.
Planning and Reporting
  • Develop monthly and operational plans in collaboration with the GDA team.
  • Regularly review project activities and budgets.
  • Review project reports as needed.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports based on program plans within the specified timelines.
