Protecting of Children in Great Poverty in Laos (PEGASE) Project
Project overall objective:
promote and implement mechanisms to prevent and protect children from violence, especially to deal with the problem of human trafficking and the pursuit of benefits from children within the Lao PDR.
Project Specific objectives:
Prevent the pursuit of benefits and violence against children by strengthening the family, especially for parents and guardians.
Promote children’s rights and raise awareness about the risks of human trafficking and the exploitation of children.
Project activity:
Initial training on family development planning manual for teams, partners and local authorities
Training on gender roles.
Follow-up to identify target families and a meeting to summarize the results of identifying the target group of poor families and plan the method of assistance.
Helping poor families with equipment to build a family economy.
Establishing a counseling center in the local area of the project.
Monitoring the dissemination of the Family Development Planning Guide for teams, partners and local authorities.
Monitoring and evaluation of assistance to poor families.
Counseling activities within counseling centers.
Training to create a model family (volunteers at the village level).
Meeting to exchange lessons with model families (volunteers at the village level)
