Combating violence against women and girls and enhancing their access to justice
Project overall objective:
- Community have improved the attitudes and behaviors toward gender-based violence against women and girls
- Legal aid and counseling services on violence against women and girls are effective
Project activity:
- Revise and update existing GDA’s training tools and manuals on gender equality and VAWG (year 1)
- Conduct awareness training on gender equality and VAWS at 3 levels
- Conduct biannual advocacy events on the occasion of national and international women’s days or EVAW (End Violence Against Women) day at the districts
- Produce communication materials on VAWG and access to justice in ethic languages.
- Conduct online training on basic gender and VAWG concept for interested audience
- Conduct training on basic counseling skills on access to justice for VAWG victims as well as basic monitoring tools
- Prevention and combating against VAWG in the community with lead role of village GFPs in peer counseling and VAWG monitoring
- Conduct 6 biannual training for 20 CSOs on gender, VAWG, family law and international human rights conventions ratified by Lao government
- Enhance the coordination in the fighting against VAWG
